Diane Summers has been an active member of the Democratic Club in Fallbrook since 2009, the
first year of President Obama’s first term. Her husband Michael was President and she was Vice
President and Secretary. At the time there were about 40 members. Both Diane and Michael
held many fundraisers, promoted people into local offices and attended many state
conferences as delegates. They were also members of the North County Caucus and Central
Committee in San Diego. In 2016 Diane became a trustee and the President of the Fallbrook
Union High School District for a four-year term. Since then, she has been Hospitality Chair,
Fundraising Chair and now Scholarship Chair for the Fallbrook Democratic Club.
Along with Diane’s work with the Democratic Party, she served on the board of her professional
organization, the National Association for the Education of Young Children for 16 years and on
the board of the American Association of University Women for 12 years. Diane’s professional
Career was teaching Child Development in both the two-year college and high school levels. She
and Michael have lived in Fallbrook for 23 years.
