Julie has a Master’s Degree in Architecture from UCLA, and a Construction Management Degree at
SDSU Extended Studies. She has worked for nonprofit housing organizations in Los Angeles and
Ventura as an Architectural Designer and Construction Project Manager, serving as a Commissioner for
the Housing and Community Development (HUD) Area Housing Authority of Ventura and volunteered
with Habitat for Humanity as a Family Selection Coordinator. Julie is an advocate for criminal justice
reform, housing equity, and Immigrant rights’ legislation, serving as Indivisible CV’s Immigrant Rights
Leader. Since 2016, she has worked on grassroots voter engagement statewide and in battleground
states, canvassing and supporting voter outreach.
